(Written 2013, kept to maintain memory) My career at Stanford was an amazing one. It started from humble beginnings where I was underweight and learning a pro style offense. The next year I felt adversity switching from guard to center. The next year I felt growing pains as well but learned valuable lessons watching Chase Beeler becoming an unanimous All-American. The next year I fought for what was most important to me and became the starting center. Jonathon Martin and David DeCastro helped me adjust to the role and showed what it was like to lead. The next year it was up to me and the fellow seniors to lead the team and it was the best year I had at Stanford.
This was my best game and one of the hardest and most meaningful games for me. I had to work through an injury and play in the earliest game that would define our season. I felt a great feeling closing the game out with my teammates to beat USC four times in a row for the first time in Stanford history
